(Salt Lake City, UT) – Big news for those in the Beehive State.
From today’s Epic Brewing newsletter:
Head Brewmaster Kevin Crompton has been hard at work. Epic is on the verge of releasing 4 new beers. Straight Up Saison is a hoppy, farmhouse saison with no fruit on this one. Mid Mountain Mild is on the lighter side of Epic’s spectrum. It’s a clean easy drinking beer with a mild hop profile. Barley Wine is a huge malty hoppy strong beer set to release for the New Year. And get ready for Epic’s super hop bomb the Imperial IPA. According to Kevin, it may be “the hoppiest beer that has ever been brewed in Utah.”
Isnt it illegal to sell 5% or higher in Utah?
I think that there was a law changed last year. That or it applies to only bars or something?
All draft at bars in Utah is 3.2%. Epic sells Bottled beers from 4.8% to 10.8% ABV and keg/draft in three other states so far. A law change in 2009 made this possible.
