At first, I thought that North Coast Brewing had a new barrel-aged Old Stock offering coming but the brewery is just changing the labels on its regular version to match the barrel-aged ones. Nice design work here. You can still find North Coast Old Stock Ale 2009 Cellar Reserve Bourbon Barrel on shelves.
It’s almost that time of year when the big guns come out. Sexual Chocolate, Pliny the Younger, Cigar City Hunahpu’s, Kate the Great and Dark Lord. Foothills Sexual Chocolate kicks things off this weekend.
There isn’t much more to say about this one that hasn’t already been said though it’s worth noting that the Sierra Nevada Brewing team went to Belgium in November to study brewing tradition and technique so they plan to do this right. A new company is resuscitating Legacy Brewing, which shut down last year. Per Jack Curtin:

Enter Josh Wood, chief executive of Ruckus Marketing Co. and the new Ruckus Brewing Company Co. in New York. the marketing company did the branding and packaging design for the beer and the brewing has acquired the brand from Legacy.
Look for Hoptimus Prime to return in 22 oz. bottles soon.
