(Delmar, DE) – Some news from Delaware’s other brewery…

Dogfish Head dominated beer headlines in 2010 but there’s another up-and-coming craft brewery in The First State, Evolution Craft Brewing Company. The brewery is trying its hand at barrel-aging and has a new bottle release due out soon.

Per Co-Founder, Tom Knorr, “We will be releasing the first of our “Migration Series” beers in the next two weeks. The TTB approved the label yesterday. The beer is a Dark Strong Ale aged on Bourbon Barrels for 8 months. The next one, to be released in April, is a Golden Strong Ale aged on Cruzan Rum Barrels. This will be available in select accounts in Maryland, DC, and Delaware. We only produced about 1,200 (750ml) bottles of this beer. These beers are all individually numbered.”

The label for Evolution Dark Bourbon Barrel Ale shows an ABV of 10.5%.
