New draft labels…

Sierra Nevada 2 x 4: Label says “40% Belgian-style Quad Ale aged in brandy barrels with dates and currants added, 60% Belgian-style Dubbel Ale.” Just an observation but seeing a few more Quad labels out there than usual though I think Black Saisons still have a better chance to go viral like Black IPAs did last year. If you’re in the PA area, you may be interested to know that there’s another group heading out to Chico to brew up a Beer Camp beer soon.

NOLA Flambeau Red Ale: Local blogger, The Beer Buddha, reports that this will debut on draft on February 26th. He was able to procure a sample of the new beer as well; his review is up on the blog.

Lazy Monk Bohemian Pilsner: The new outfit from Wisconsin just finished setting up its brew system this week. They also have keg approvals for a Bohemian Dark Lager and an Octoberfest Lager. Where some other brewers are conceding to distributors who want primarily limited/extreme high margin products from new breweries, going with traditional German styles is an interesting play. Regardless, welcome to the craft brewing fold, Lazy Monk.

Boulder Old Chicago Bitter Leprechaun ESB: The third announced beer to be released exclusively for CraftWorks’ Old Chicago restaurant. The others include Oskar Blues Deviant Dale’s Pale Ale and Odell Myrcenary (the latter will be released in wide distribution after its stint at OC).

Left Hand Week Sauce Porter: Finally, it looks like someone in Longmont that processed this label has never heard of the term, “weak sauce.” The derogatory term refers to something as being inferior so the name of this beer is a bit befuddling.
