Beer labels: Cigar City, Great Divide, Dry Dock, Fig Mtn, Big River

Even more beer labels…

Cigar City Papaya IPA looks like a variation on the brewery’s Jai Alai IPA with papaya added. Proceeds from sales of 750s of this will go to the Florida Brewers Guild.

Great Divide 17th Anniversary Wood-Aged IPA received approval. Are these wood-aged IPAs actually different every year? If not, it’s one of the only “anniversary” beers I know of that stays the same each year.

Dry Dock Brewing is removing the “Seven Seas” branding off of its Seven Seas Double IPA. It’s a play on word based on the hops used in the beer which all begin with the letter, “C.” The word, “seas” is used by both Seven Seas Brewing out of Washington and Clipper City Brewing in its Heavy Seas line of beers. Perhaps a phone call was made? …or the brewery just felt like dropping it.

Figueroa Mountain Brewing will soon release Davy Brown Ale in bombers. Bombers are typically reserved for big 10% ABV range beers so it’s an interesting strategy. Will a 6% ABV brown ale in 22 oz. bottles sell? Depends on the price point…

Finally, approval came in for Big River Blessed Scottish Ale.
