Latest approvals…
Odell Friek was approved overnight. I got the scoop on the beer back in December (and just updated that post with the new image last night).
Also an update on Odell Myrcenary that I neglected to post from earlier this winter…. The Head Brewer at Odell, Joe Mohrfeld, told me that the brewers are finalizing the hopping schedule for this Double IPA and they have three pilot Double IPAs with different dry hoppings currently in their pilot fermenters, all done with American hop varieties with high contents of Myrcene oil. They should have the beer finalized in the upcoming weeks and will be preparing for the production brew that will initially be released exclusively at the 58 Old Chicago Restaurants in Odell’s distribution network and in the taproom during March. It will hit 4-packs and wider distribution down the road. By now, they’ve decided on the final recipe and that should be fermenting away.
Red Brick (Atlanta Brewing) got label approval for 16th Anniversary Ale, an indescript ale aged in bourbon barrels. The brewery also got approval for a Double IPA to appear in its Brick Mason series. The Brick Mason beers are said to start arriving this month.
Finally, Ohio-based Indigo Imp Brewery got approval for Fiend Red Rye Ale.
