A round-up of the week in beer from the brewery blogs…

[2/25 Update: Just confirmed that Bryan Selders is not leaving DFH but not to start up another brewery (fixed some really poor wording there, sorry for the confusion!). Would’ve been cool but best of luck to him in his future endeavors…]

…A preliminary date has been set for the 2011 release of The Lost Abbey Framboise de Amorosa (the beer is discussed in an NBT video I linked to last week). The beer will be released on March 26 from 12-6pm. Per person limit is set at six 375ml bottles for $15 apiece.

…Another Phineas X. Jones label is shown above. Compare the final version with the old one where it looks like the character is barfing. Nintendo game artwork is clearly an inspiration for this one. From Half Acre Beer Co.‘s brewery blog: “We brewed a beer called Ambrosia that will soon drop out of the tank. Ambrosia is a wheat beer brewed with Hibiscus flowers and Oranges. This one has been on the docket for a while and finally hit it’s launch — 22oz bottles & draft, but not for a couple weeks.”

…Hat tip from Lee “Hoptopia” Williams for alerting me to this: Cantillon has undergone an expansion that will see it’s production increase by 30% over the next 2 years. They have the capacity now with new wine barrels having just arrived, but obviously they require the lead time of a fresh batch of 2 year lambic before the full 30% increase will be felt on the shelves.” Follow the updates on their Facebook account.

Grand Teton Brewing has been actively updating blog readers on its own expansion.

…From the Sly Fox blog, “Sly Fox Brewing Company‘s production volume grew by 27% in 2010 to 8,533 barrels, spurred by an increase in can sales from 28% to 42% of the total volume. Dollars sales were up 29%.”

…Head Brewer, Bryan Selders, is leaving Dogfish Head in mid-March. You probably know him from his appearances on Brew Masters. The trend these days is for a head brewer to go start his own brewery so we should know what Mr. Selders’ plans are soon enough.

Nebraska Brewing announced by email that Black Betty will soon return with some release events beginning the week of March 11.

Flossmoor Station is releasing both Barrel-Aged Hi-Fi Rye Barleywine and regular Hi-Fi Rye Barleywine this Saturday. Details here.

Short’s Brewing has a couple new experimental beers on tap with zany names: Joyous Almondo and Sasquatch Named Kodini.

Smuttynose Brewing unearths Hanami Ale again only to re-bury it. The brewery is shipping Imperial Stout beginning March 14th.

Yazoo Brewing is offering fans a chance to vote for a future Hop Project Series release.

…Finally, Westbrook Brewing will soon release kegs of its IPA.
