St. Patrick’s Day promotion gives beer drinkers a shot at winning a trip to Enniscorthy, Ireland, the birthplace of George Killian’s Irish Red
(Chicago, IL) – To celebrate its Irish roots this St. Patrick’s Day, George Killian’s Irish Red is giving beer drinkers a chance to win a trip to the birthplace of the famous red lager. The popular pub beer invites legal-drinking-age consumers to raise a glass and take a shot at winning one of five trips to Ireland, where they’ll have a chance to enjoy a beer with Killian Lett, the great-great-great-great grandson of the beer’s creator, and other members of his family in their favorite pub.
“I had the opportunity to experience my first St. Patrick’s Day in America last March, and now I’m thrilled to be able to introduce our hometown to the lucky winners,” said 26-year-old Killian Lett. “My family is looking forward to showing beer drinkers how to have an authentic St. Patrick’s Day in the true spirit of George Killian’s Irish Red.”
Those ages 21 and up (void in CA) can enter the sweepstakes now through March 31 with an official entry code featured on specially marked packaging or a keyword on other promotional materials. They can use the entry code to enter at www.GeorgeKillians.com, and five winners will be awarded trips for two.
In addition to the sweepstakes for the trips to Ireland, Killian will return to the states this March to help introduce a series of pub rules to fully authenticate the holiday. The rules, which highlight the traditions and etiquette of the pub culture, so pivotal to everyday Irish life, will remind beer drinkers how to live the Irish pub culture now and beyond the St Patrick’s holiday. Fans can follow the brand and learn more at www.Facebook.com/GeorgeKillians.

About George Killian’s Irish Red
George Killian’s Irish Red is an authentic Irish lager based on an original family recipe that dates back to 1864 in Enniscorthy, Ireland. Killian Lett’s great-great-great-great grandfather first brewed a ruby ale that later became the inspiration for George Killian’s Irish Red. He used only pure spring water and the finest caramel malts roasted longer and slower to give his brew a rich red color and distinctive taste. The beer is still known for its rich amber color and thick, creamy head. More information is available at www.GeorgeKillians.com or at www.Facebook.com/GeorgeKillians.

Fausto, there are a lot of great beers to be drank! Don’t limit yourself to just one!
My claim to George Killians fame? In the early 1980’s, I worked for a beer company in New Orleans, East of the Mississippi River, and sold the FIRST legal keg of George Killians to my favorite Irish pub. To this day, it is their best Irish beer….
