Latest batch o’ labels…
Boston Beer Co.: Samuel Adams Sample B appears to have been changed. The brewery got approval for Maple Wood Porter (aged on oak staves) last week and this week it’s been switched to Maple Pecan Porter with caramel added.
Saint Arnold Brewing: Weedwacker, “a re-yeasted version of Saint Arnold Fancy Lawnmower Beer, which has quietly become the brewery’s biggest seller,” is coming to 12 oz. bottles. The beer is part of the Movable Yeast Series in which an existing recipe is re-brewed with a yeast strain that is different from the original.
If a press release from last year holds true, Saint Arnold still plans to release Saint Arnold Bitter Belgian, Saint Arnold Elissa IPA wort pitched with Belgian Trappist yeast. Saint Arnold Brown Bitter was another beer that was announced, Saint Arnold Brown Ale wort pitched with Alt yeast, though the brewery released Farmer’s Brown Ale, brewed with Saison yeast, last month. In any case, it looks like they aren’t holding themselves that the original schedule.
Stillwater Artisanal: Saison de James label…”A collaborative effort between Brian and Sous Chef, Josh Evans of ‘James’ in Philadelphia, headed by Chef Jim Burke. Designed to commemorate a special pairing meal between James and Stillwater Artisanal in the spring of 2011.” 750ml bottles will be limited.
Moylan’s Brewing: Orange and Black Congrats Ale! Just in time for the first game of the season, this beer is described as an American Black Ale brewed with orange zest. It recently made its debut. 22 oz.
Kern River Brewing: The brewery will celebrate its fifth anniversary with a Double IPA release. The brewery is already pretty well known in the beer community for its Citra DIPA and Just Outstanding IPA.
Elevator Three Frogs IPA: Only available on tap up to this point. A 7.6% ABV IPA that is double dry-hopped with Cluster and Citra. 12 oz.
Lagniappe Brewing: New beer in 12 oz. bottles…Effenheimer Red Ale
Choc Beer Co.: Same beer, new label for Choctoberfest
Hawkshead Brewery: Organic Stout headed to the U.S. in 500ml bottles. Importer is St. Killian Importing.
