Clown Shoes expands distribution to Upstate NY, Virginia

(Ipswich, MA) – With beer flying off the shelves and flowing through the taps in Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island, Clown Shoes has decided to make moves into a couple more great beer markets.

Upstate New York (distributed by Sheehan and Tri-Valley Distributors) and Virginia (distributed by Specialty) are the newest markets to carry Clown Shoes. The current lineup outside the Massachusetts state line includes Hoppy Feet (black IPA), Brown Angel (brown ale), Clementine (white ale), and Eagle Claw Fist (imperial amber). Soon to be joining this impressive lineup outside the home territory will be Tramp Stamp (Belgian IPA), pending national label approval. Clown Shoes began sending beer to these new markets a little over a week ago and initial reception has been positive.

In other Clown Shoes news, we made slight adjustments to our release schedule for the next few months. We are holding off on the Russian Imperial Stout (Blaecorn Unidragon) until fall to allow for appropriate aging and tweaking. The test batches came out well, but the beer was too young and we don’t want to rush the release (we also don’t want to be drinking such a massive beer in the warmer months!). Instead, we are ready to announce the launch of Clown Shoes 4-packs! Our Shoe Crew favorite Clementine as well as a new session-strength black IPA (Lubrication) will be available in 4-packs priced under $10 beginning in about 10 weeks. We are thrilled to be introducing these beers in this new format and can’t wait to design the packaging, brew some beer, and send it to you! As always, keep up to date with all things Clown Shoes on Facebook (Clown Shoes Beer) and Twitter (@clownshoesbeer).
