New batch o’ labels…

Flying Dog Backyard Ale: Just mentioned this one in an edition of beer notes the other day. It’s a beer made in collaboration with Chef Bryan Voltaggio though the brewery hasn’t released any more details on it. First batch was brewed recently. It has approval in both 750 and 12 oz. formats so we’ll have to wait and see.

Outblack by Struise and Stillwater Ales: Officially approved for importing to the U.S. market (more discussion here)

Weyerbacher Sixteen: This year’s anniversary beer will be a Braggot. 12 oz. bottles.

Coronado Black Ops IPA: Keg approval – notice that little TM symbol after the words, “Black Ops?” Yeah, Brooklyn Brewery owns that mark already.

New Belgium PIPA: Keg collar says that it’s brewed with lemon peel [Update: an interesting story behind Pamela’s IPA.]

Pyramid Brewer’s Handle Red Ale: Another one to add to the “Brewer’s Handle” collection, a series of limited release draft-only beers – not sure how this differs from the Ignition Series

Pyramid Belgian-style IPA: Another brewery takes a stab at using a Belgian yeast strain in an IPA

St. George Imperial Pale: Virginia-based brewery to offer a new brew in 22 oz. bottles

  1. the ignition series is basically a set of draft-only seasonals dreamt up by the marketing department, whereas the brewer’s handle designation has been used for years to identify one-off draft-only offerings that wont recur yearly like ignition series apparently now does.
