Nearly a dozen new labels featured…
Sixpoint Bengali Tiger: The brewery’s prized IPA now appears to be headed to cans. I haven’t heard a peep about these guys getting a canning line so this comes as a bit of a surprise. Cans will hold 16 oz..
Sierra Nevada Snowed in Stout: Beer Camp #45. This is an interesting name for a beer considering that we are heading into the summer season. This 9.2% ABV Imperial Stout will be headed somewhere on draft but the brewery is typically mum about where these one-offs go.
Rahr and Sons Gravel Road Altbier: Interesting that the only reference to this brand-new beer online is Wikipedia where it is listed as a seasonal. Is it possible that the brewery has been editing its own page? Hmm..
North Peak Darkangel Cherry Porter: Made with Michigan cherry juice, 12 oz.
Berghoff Backyard Ale: The second new “backyard” beer that we’ve seen in the past week, this one looks like it will be packaged in cans though the label doesn’t explicitly say it
Fox River Caber Tossing Scottish Ale: Previously available on draft, this is heading to bottles along with a number of other Fox River offerings. Most of these beers are listed as retired. Did someone buy the brand and resurrect it?
Sea Dog IPA: This brand has been a Maine staple for a while now, most well known for its Blue Paw Wheat Beer, but it is finally jumping aboard the IPA train.
Session Fest Premium Red Lager: A new offering in Full Sail Brewing’s spinoff series
Tommyknocker Jack Whacker Wheat: Another re-vamp for Tommyknocker, been seeing a lot of them lately
People’s Moundbuilder IPA: Appears to be a new bottling but not sure about a new recipe
Josephs Brau Summer Brew: A new label for a Trader Joe’s summer seasonal
I think Sixpoint will be canning their at the Lion Brewery in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania since Bengali Tiger is brewerd there and they have a canning line.

Interesting. If that’s the case then Brewed and Canned in Brooklyn would pretty much be an outright lie. But maybe the person submitting the label didn’t think about it…
BUT, the label does say “Brewed and Canned BY” not “IN”, so technically they’ve found a very easy to skip over loophole.
Heh, that is interesting! An article in the Denver Post says that the name and address of the maker are required. If it’s a straight contract, I don’t think it’s correct but if there is a Sixpoint brewer on-site maybe it is technically within the guidelines. I’m geeky about that kind of stuff but, either way, I’m guessing that will be some refreshing, tasty beer.
hmmm good point Adam, I am interested in seeing if this is a beer they plan on bringing to CT (announced it on their twitter feed they are will sell their beer here soon).
Yep. They’ve contracted kegging out to Lion as well, so this isn’t such a surprise. Brooklyn Brewery 12oz bottles are from Utica, NY and it says so clearly on the label. Looks like Sixpoint is trying to cheat to win the local game in Brooklyn.
It might look like that but I’ll retract my previous comment and give them the benefit of the doubt that it could be a mistake (if what you say is accurate).
Sixpoint: best craft beer coming out of….Wilkes-Barre?
They are already selling this in Brooklyn at Full Circle Bar!
