Samuel Adams 13th Hour Stout, New World Tripel approved with new artwork

Thirteenth Hour Body

(Boston, MA) – New labels are in for two beers from the Samuel Adams Barrel Room Collection

The new labels for Samuel Adams 13th Hour Stout and Samuel Adams New World Tripel come off as pretty slick with less emphasis on the “Barrel Room Collection” and more emphasis on unique (but subtle) artwork for each beer.

13th Hour Stout was first revealed back in March along with another name for the same beer, “Belgian Noir.” A poll taken here showed that readers favored the names equally. It would appear that the brewery has picked its winner though Boston Beer is known for getting label approvals for concept names so don’t consider this official yet.

13th Hour Stout has not yet been released and no time frame available at the moment. Label description: “With 13 ingredients, we combined the roasted chocolate and coffee notes of a stout with the complex spicy character of a Belgian ale aged in oak for a dark, robust, and bewitching brew.”

New World Tripel was first released in November of 2009.

Both beers will be packaged in 750s as current BRC beers are. The extra wide labels and the fact that there are still back labels make me wonder if they are switching to a bottle shape that has a wider base than the current ones.
