(Escondido, CA) – Stone Brewing has received approval for Belgo Anise Imperial Russian Stout.

Perhaps more important than this approval is the fact that Imperial Russian Stout “Classic” has been delayed again. A post I put up recently for the original version mentioned that Imperial Russian Stout was scheduled to be released on May 2nd. The website now says May 31st. There is no release date listed for the Belgo Anise version.

A word of caution…the back label here notes that this beer screams “notes of anise.”
