Wrestling industry legend starts brewing company

(Cody, WY) – Eric Bischoff of WCW/WWE/TNA fame announced his new project this week and it has nothing to do with wrestling…but everything to do with beer.

Update: Per Facebook, “We will be posting the names/locations of the bars and retail locations here in Cody that will carry our product. We expect to get distribution in Montana fairly soon, and will explore other states based on interest. It is a GREAT tasting RYE beer that is unique but not too ‘hoppy.'” There may be a way to get this beer shipped to you at some point. Send me an email or leave a comment with your state if interested.

Bischoff is starting a craft beer brand. He is marketing the brand as Eric Bischoff Family Brewing but a recent label approval says that the legal brewery name (the one that will appear on labels) is Wyoming Territory Brewing. The label also indicates that the beers will be produced at Yellowstone Valley Brewing Company in Billings, Montana.

The first beer to come out from the brewery will be Buffalo Bill Cody Beer in 12 oz. bottles. According to Wikipedia, “Bischoff lives in Cody, Wyoming, with his wife Loree and his two children.”

Bischoff has been heavily involved as an on-air personality (and at the management level) with various wrestling entertainment companies for the past two decades.

Bischoff’s new company already has a website, a Twitter page and a Facebook page.

  1. I can see the lawsuit now. Buffalo Bills Brewing sues Wyoming Territory Brewery over use of name in Buffalo Bill Beer. I’m guessing the Cease and Desist letter is in the mail…

  2. The only person who might call Eric Bischoff a “wrestling legend” is Bischoff himself (or maybe Hulk Hogan) i mean we’re not talking about Adrian Adonis or Leaping Lanny Poffo here.

  4. Of course he’s a wrestling legend, you spanner. He’s spent more on hair dye and dental products than you’ll ever make. I’m all for this. I’ll be knocking back the Buffalo Bill, no worries. I’m just gutted I’m not drinking it as I type. Sounds like a freshing beverage fit for a company executive, 8th Degree Black Belt and guitar wizard.

  6. I’m going to put this beer in a headlock, if you know what I mean. Get it? Headlock? Aw screw it, let’s all get drunk and do elbow drops off the sofa.
