Part II of today’s double batch of beer notes…
Dogfish Head: The big news of the day…120 Minute IPA is back in bottles. Per the brewery blog, the 100 bbl batch will be 100% bottled and allocated across certain states (list available here). “We did keep some cases for sale from our Brewery and Brewpub. Our 120 Minute IPA bottles will go on sale on Friday, June 24 2011. Due to the limited availability and our ‘share and share alike’ view on this beer – we are limiting sales to one 4-pack per person. We will sell them for $30 per 4-pack.” This is the first bottling in 20 months.
The brewery also recently reported having shipped more than 50,000 barrels through May but didn’t reveal the same 2010 comparison.
…And there is some kind of beer with strawberries coming soon to Rehoboth Beach.
Yazoo Brewing: Per Vanderbilt University, a fun project for the kiddies: “Yazoo Brewing Company brews high-quality craft beer and sells it primarily in the Southeast. The company has recently seen unprecedented growth – swelling last year to 45 percent. Now Yazoo is turning to students from the Vanderbilt Accelerator Summer Business Institute to explore what is driving Yazoo’s growth. The company is considering expanding its manufacturing capacity and needs to know if the current growth in demand is sustainable and a forecast of how big the local and regional market will be in the next five years in order to decide how much additional capacity it should build.”
Harpoon Brewery: Has launched a new website to celebrate its 25th year in business.
Arcadia Brewing: Whitsun cans debut this week.
