Epic Brewing Company was founded in May 2010 by David Cole and Peter Erikson. Their portfolio includes twenty-six unique styles of ales and lagers that are categorized into three levels of increasing intensity: Classic, Elevated and Exponential.
Best sellers for the brewery include Sour Apple Saison, Spiral Jetty IPA, Brainless Belgian-Style Golden Ale, Imperial Red and 825 State Stout, which earned them their first Great American Beer Festival medal this past September. Epic’s passion and commitment to brewing only small-batch, high-quality products is why they are ranked third on the list of “Top New Brewers in the World” by Ratebeer.com.
New Jersey is the eighth market for Epic and only the third on the East coast after Virginia and the District of Columbia.
The decision to add New Jersey to their roster was made after hearing about Hunterdon’s impressive portfolio and the level of enthusiasm for craft beer throughout the Garden State. Sales manager Michael Malachowski states, “Hunterdon works hard, plays hard and gets the job done. At Epic Brewing, we are all about that and are very excited to team up to tackle the NJ market together.”
