Part II of today’s new beer labels.
Update: Confirmed that Snow Day will replace 2 Below as winter seasonal. It will be available from November-January. Per New Belgium’s Bryan Simpson, “We’re looking at giving seasonals a two year run. It’s such a good opportunity to develop and place new beers that we want to keep the program dynamic.”
New Belgium Snow Day Winter Ale: Will be interesting to see if this has any effect on 2 Below, currently slotted as a winter seasonal. Label copy: “With three feet of powder closing the roads, a brewery is not a bad place to get snowed in. Given the unanticipated hall pass of a snow day, our brewers decided to experiment. Hmm…what about this dark caramel roasted Midnight Wheat braced with a serious load of Styrian Goldings, Centennial and Cascade hops? Shovel it in. What a deliciously unexpected way to spend a SNOW DAY!”
Weyerbacher Rapture: I wonder if the name was inspired by the guy claiming that it was the end of the world. This is an 11.8% ABV Wild Ale that will be bottled in 750s.
Peace Tree Hop Sutra Double IPA: Label copy: “This brew is for hop huggers. We’ve added over 2.5 times the hops of our Hop Wrangler IPA with four varieties of hops in six massive hop additions. With over 1.5 times the barley of our normal beers, our grist hopper was nearly overflowing. Fermentation with the same Belgian yeast as our Hop Wrangler IPA rounds out this bold beer.”
Others…
American Caboose Oatmeal Stout
Rivertown Blueberry Lager
Black and Gold Lager
I got an early taste of the Rapture. It’s intense. Can’t wait to get my hands on some more.
