Incoming! Here is another update from France 44. The same folks that have delivered time and time again when it comes to offering the best selection of beers from the Midwest (and not too shabby on the West Coast either) has a new lineup of brews in stock. Also, with it being Monday, there is a good possibility (depending on where you live) that if you order early in the week, you will actually have your beers arrive in time for this weekend. Remember that these guys are centrally located in Minnesota so shipping is faster than most.
Use the website search and/or click some of the suggestions below. Have questions? Call 612-925-3252 and ask for Carin (she’s your go-to person for logistical/operational questions on orders) or Matt (he’s the beer department guy if you have in-stock questions). Or just shoot over an email.
So without further ado…
What is in stock this week?
Alaskan Brewing: Perseverance 25th Anniversary Ale (NEW) and four others. Check out the Perseverance Ale video above.
Surly Brewing: Fest Lager (NEW), also in stock…Furious, Bender, CynicAle, Bitter Brewer (summer seasonal)
Epic Brewing: Sour Apple Saison, Smoked and Oaked Ale, Brainless on Cherries and more than a dozen others. (Note: if you look at ratings on RateBeer, their Pale Ales are actually getting world-class respect).
Tyranena Brewing: Brewers Gone Wild Hop Whore Double IPA (NEW) and Brewers Gone Wild Dirty Old Man Imperial Rye Porter (NEW)
Southern Tier Brewing: Pumking (NEW) and four others
Brooklyn Brewery: Sorachi Ace and six others
Great Lakes Brewing: Nosferatu Red (NEW) and six others
Bell’s Brewery: Two Hearted Ale and Kalamazoo Stout
A couple local-ish picks: Olvalde The Auroch’s Horn (on sale!), Furthermore Three Feet Deep
Automated System:
The France 44 online shop is relatively advanced in that: 1) You can order beer online with a modern shopping cart system and 2) online stock counts are accurately tied to what’s on the floor at the store.
Very transparent. Fill up your cart and then click on “My Cart” in the upper right corner. Put in your zip code in the Destination Zip Code input field in the lower right part of the order screen and hit enter on the keyboard. It will then calculate your shipping (without having to sign up or enter a credit card).
Shipping increases incrementally with each package you add to the cart (but less each time). There is no need to try to plan out an order of exactly 6 or 12 beers to fit a certain box. For an indication of cost, four 4-packs of Surly ran me about $67 total, shipped to the coast. Considering the expense and time it takes to do beer trades, this is almost a no-brainer if you’re looking to try some Midwest/West Coast beers.
As mentioned above, France 44 ships to all but a handful of states so 90% of readers here are all set. Note: France 44 does not ship internationally.
