Bell’s Brewery Production Manager, John Mallett, talks about the ongoing $17 million expansion project. The latest development is the recent arrival of tanks at the brewery.
The brewhouse will eventually be able to pump out “well over” 500k barrels annually according to Mallett.
Production will hit “close to” 180k barrels in 2011, around a 16% increase from 2010.
Hello, I am a Safety Professional for a large construction company and I just wanted to tell you that you may want take this video down before it OSHA gets a look at it. Please review the following information:
Working under loads.
1926.753(d)(1)
Routes for suspended loads shall be pre-planned to ensure that no employee is required to work directly below a suspended load except for:
1926.753(d)(1)(i)
Employees engaged in the initial connection of the steel; or
1926.753(d)(1)(ii)
Employees necessary for the hooking or unhooking of the load.
Just a suggestion… you should’ve put the load down on a pedestal of some sort and then attached that cone shaped insert. Also, you need to take into consideration that not only are you begging for several Serious OSHA violations you are also unnecessarily putting 5 lives at risk. That my friends is the REAL PROBLEM with this evolution.
Thanks for the comment, Wayne. You may want to direct your concerns to Bell’s Brewery directly. If you think the brewery is endangering lives without realizing it, you should let them know!
Cheers,
Adam
