Rogue Voodoo Doughnut beer kept Brewmaster up at night

Adding more intrigue to this beer…still no more reviews yet since Willamette Week staffers called this beer a “foul abomination”

Head Rogue Jack Joyce tells me that it took brewmaster extraordinaire John Maier three times to “get it the way he wanted it.” And that this was a beer that kept Maier up at night, trying to figure out how to make it — sometimes even compelling him to head to the brewery in the middle of the night to try something.

  1. I shared it with the initial review on that beer in mind. If it truly does bomb with beer drinkers, it’s just an extra tidbit of knowledge about the beer’s making & that the brewmaster tried his best.

Still don’t get why they didn’t go the porter route though.
