Press Release:
Renowned Bavarian Brewery Introduces Innovative Wheat Beer
(Mt. Pleasant, SC) – Beverage importer and supplier Total Beverage Solution (TBS) announces the launch and exclusive distribution of a new wheat beer from Weihenstephan, White Hoplosion. The oldest existing brewery in the world, Weihenstephan creates beers of the highest quality based on the unique combination of tradition and custom, proven knowledge and modern science.
White Hoplosion represents a new variation on the classic style of wheat beer. The unfiltered beer combines typical balanced fruity flavors with fine distinctive hop notes to create an ultimate sensation of taste with 5.3 percent alcohol by volume. Using selected Bavarian noble hops, Weihenstephan emphasizes the bitterness of the wheat beer flavor, which is generally milder than lagers or pilsners.
The introduction of Hoplosion marks the second commercial collaboration between Weihenstephan and the Faculty of Brewing at the Technical University München, who frequently partner for research on ingredients, machinery and processes. In December 2010, Weihenstephan and the University released Infinium, a revolutionary champagne-like beer resulting from several years of collaboration with the brewmasters of Boston Beer Company Samuel Adams.
