Odell won’t ship Hiveranno New American Wild Ale bottles due to carbonation issues

(Fort Collins, CO) – Odell Brewing reported the news on its blog just hours ago…

To all those patiently awaiting news regarding our Hiveranno New American Wild Ale re-release, which has unfortunately sat far too long in our brewery awaiting those fine bubbles to form and not enough time in the market for you all to enjoy, we have some news for you…

Now this is likely good news to some and bad news to others, for those who live within a short drive or long bike ride of the brewery will have the opportunity to enjoy Hiveranno in our tap room.

For those who would have to choose their favorite aero-plane carrier you may have to make a pilgrimage to our brewery if your want to enjoy this beer. What all this babble means is that we have decided after months of carbonation testing that we are not 100% confident that everyone who buys a bottle in the market will receive a properly carbonated bottle and we do not want to subject anyone to flat beer if we can avoid it.

So we have chosen not to ship this beer outside of the brewery, but have decided that this beer is quite tasty and a large percentage of bottles are carbonated perfectly, so rather than dump all this beer we will pour bottles in our taproom for you our loyal friends for a marginal monetary sum in line with other beers we serve at the brewery.

This will allow us to dump the occasional flat bottle while still allowing the carbonated bottles to be enjoyed, thereby keeping flat bottles from ruining the Hiveranno moment and allowing carbonated bottles to excite the palate.

Thank you all for waiting patiently while this beer slowly carbonated and for those able to make it by the tap room I hope you are able to make it in to enjoy this unique wild ale.

Cheers!
Joe Mohrfeld
