CBD: Green Flash to expand into several markets this winter

Craft Business Daily (CBD) reports that Green Flash Brewing is planning on expanding to several new markets this year:

[According to Green Flash Director of Sales, Jim Kenny] “In conjunction we will be expanding our distribution to the southeast to include Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Nebraska and South Carolina.”

A press release from May stated that opening capacity at the newly-opened facility will be 45,000 barrels expandable to over 100,000 barrels. Green Flash produced just shy of 14,000 barrels in 2010 according to the Brewers Association (New Brewer).

The announcement comes at a time when most regional craft breweries are focusing on meeting a demand surplus in their local and existing markets. Several regional craft breweries have also executed plans to pull back on distribution this year.

  1. Hey Jim Kenny – You’re adding Nebraska and already have Chicago covered. Guess what state your trucks are driving through after dropping in NE to get to Chicago? I’ll give you a hint: It’s Iowa! Yer killin me Smalls!
