Coors Light takes gold over Oskar Blues’ Pils at Canfest

Jack Curtin made a keen observation over the weekend with respect to this past weekend’s Canfest in Reno, Nevada. Awards were doled out. Fantastic…but who judged the Lager category?

Oskar Blues Brewery
MAMA’S LITTLE YELLA PILS
Silver

Coors Brewing Company

Bronze

Unfazed by the results, Oskar Blues announced today that it’s adding a 12-pack for Mama’s Little Yella Pils.

  1. Good question. Judged by members of the A. Coors family? I can’t imagine either Coors beer scoring above D in a fair fight!

  2. Those who don’t like the results are obviously posers who judge the product by it’s label rather its taste. Need someone to tell them what to drink, eat, read, watch to be cool.

  3. COORS OS TOO METALLIC. THE BEER TASTES MORE LIKE THE CAN IT COMES IN THAN THE BEER. WHAT I THINK IS THAT IF COORS WOULD PUT MORE EFFORT INTO THE PRODUCTION OF THIER BEER, RATHER THAN THE “COLD ACTIVATION” CANS, OR BULLSHIT LINING, THEY MAY ONE DAY HAVE SOMETHING. BUT NOT TODAY

  4. I demand a recount. Did the judges have tongues? The difference between a diabetes sample and Coors Light is …wait, there is no difference.
