(Greensboro, VT) – Hill Farmstead‘s new brewhouse is online starting today and, to mark the event, Founder, Shaun Hill, is creating a new series and collaborating with another brewer.
The new Double IPA series is dubbed Society and Solitude according to the collaboration partner for the new brew. That would be Peekskill Brewery‘s newly-minted brewmaster, Jeff O’Neil a.k.a. “Chief.” The same manufacturer outfitted both the new Hill Farmstead system and Peekskill’s forthcoming 15 barrel system.
O’Neil revealed the project on the Beer Sessions Radio podcast on Tuesday.
The first beer is a single hop Double IPA brewed with Sigel Hop Farms’ “high oil” Cascade hops. Hill already has a list of “single hop series” beers up on the brewery website so he is well-versed.
O’Neil noted that the beer will be available at Peekskill (but not limited to Peekskill) but didn’t provide any further details around packaging or distribution.
It’s been a busy month for Hill Farmstead. Hill reported delivery of 24+ bourbon barrels and 12 Sauvignon Blancs last week and is preparing to install a coolship as well.
Sweet Suzie!
Great news from a neighbor.
