Do Kuhnhenn bottles make it to Ohio? I hear a lot about these guys but I’ve never seen or had anything from them.
Can’t say for sure but pretty sure they’re MI only.
No. They don’t even distribute in Michigan. You can only get it at there one brewery location in Warren MI. I try a lot of there beers because I live close and work for a beer distributor and they do make great beers, but the company is VERY poorly ran. Very lazy owners, dirty facilities, and I won’t ever go back to there home brew store, DISGUSTING place with one of the owners behind the counter who won’t even acknowledge that your there. I wish I had the money to buy the place and change it up, because their beers are very good!
@B…
1) Kuhnhenn DOES distribute in Michigan, though in very limited quantities, and they are currently going through an expansion to up production for more regular distribution.
2) What a rotten thing to say, regarding how their business is ran, especially as someone who works for a distributor. The company is run quite well, considering the growing pains they are going through. Classless. I’ll leave it at that.
3) Lazy owners: wrong. Both brothers work 70-80+hour weeks every week making sure the guests get what they pay for. Eric is the lead brewer and Bret runs the business end of things.
4) Dirty facilities: wrong. The place is spotless, save for the clutter and occasional sawdust as they continue to expand.
5) Regarding the homebrew store… the “guy behind the counter” is NOT an owner. Also, regardless of your experiences there, it should not be a reflection on the brewery as a whole.
Do you perhaps work for one of the distributors who tried to get the brand but was turned down?
Adam, the above post should really be reviewed…
Cheers to Great Beer
Hi Jon, I generally do not put much of a leash on commenters similar to how most publishing sites are run. I let the community police itself in the manner that you have just demonstrated. I appreciate you coming in and setting the record straight. Cheers! Adam
Very good craft brews & wines. Best is “4th Dimentia Bourbon Barrel” – won’t be around long so drop by. Also excellent Scotch Ale (Schilling too Many) and DRIPA (double rice brew). Excellent wait staff & cool owners.
