New Belgium Mothership Wit goes on hiatus
It’s been out of stock for a few weeks now, and then removed from price lists in 2012. I’m talking about New Belgium’s Mothership Wit. That warranted a little investigation. As it turns out, New Belgium will be placing Mothership Wit on indefinite hiatus at the end of this year. Wit is New Belgium’s first organic beer, made with copious amounts of wheat.
New Belgium hasn’t announced a replacement for the beer, part of the brewery’s Explorer Series. That said, New Belgium will release at least four new beers in 2012 in either bottles or cans.

Not a good beer, won’t be missed.
It is a good beer, and will be missed
(you must not like Witbiers)
I love Wit beers, this is not a good one.
it will not be missed.
I enjoyed it, and I like that its organic….but since I live in Oklahoma, I can’t purchase any new Belgium products (distro disputes) so I miss all of it…I get it when I’m in Missouri visiting family.
I used to live a couple of miles from your brewery but have moved to california in 20011. I brought my taste for new belgiums beers with me and have shared it with friends here. My friend and I have seriuosly missed your mothership organic wit we have been consuming copius amounts. we understand the need for continuous change but are hoping that another organic wit is in the works.
The MOTHERSHIP was my favorite wit! very sad its gone… very, very sad
