(Brooklyn Center, MN) – Surly Brewing‘s Jerrod Johnson sat down with Brewing TV to talk about his background and role at Surly Brewing. Here are a few notes I took…
– Surly has narrowed down the search but has not purchased land yet. Hopes to have a decision by spring at the latest
– Says new brewery will be two year process to create
– Just purchased centrifuge
– Doesn’t know what Six is yet. Says that Head Brewer, Todd Haug, is the one who decides the anniversary beers and jokes that he can be quite secretive about them
– Would like to eventually see Hell become a year-round beer
– Notes that the brewery uses three yeast strains (ale, lager and a Belgian strain used primarily for Cynic)
