Farmers’ Cabinet group planning large Philly beer hall
The crew behind Farmers’ Cabinet (1113 Walnut St.) will tackle a new project at the Frank Furness-designed former bank building at 600 Spring Garden St. that has spent recent memory as a series of sketchy clubs (Transit, 90 Degrees).
The main floor, with its three-story-high ceiling, will be transformed into what they say will be the city’s largest a beer hall, a beast featuring more than 85 taps.

so when this place opens, their going to close farmers cabinet right? Only makes sense since they closed fork and barrel when FC opened, closed tap and table when F&B opened.
Based on their previous history they will be closing Farmers’ Cabinet. If they do, I hope they settle up with the employees instead of their normal practice of cut and run.
I always root for projects like this, but with this group of unethical cowards running it I don’t expect it to succeed. Or they will keep it open for a year and ditch it during the middle of the night.
I frequent The Farmer’s Cabinet. The bartenders and the managers there are the crew from Fork and Barrel. Can you guys get over this already?
