Florida startup brewery plans to hit 100,000 barrels/year in three years

Not again.

Sittenfeld is president of Southwest Florida Brewery Co. Inc., and his plan is to brew 100,000 barrels per year, the equivalent of about 15 million bottles of beer.

"It might take three years to get sales up to where we need that much," Sittenfeld said.

You read that, too? It MIGHT.

If you run a medical practice as a chiropractor or a surgeon, run a travel agency or make coffee at Starbucks, I am now taking applications for Beernews brewery startup consulting services.

You, too, can own a 100,000 barrel brewery in no time!

  1. Adam, another “bubblehead” pops up. A Heineken-like beer named “Montenegro”? It’s 1996 all over again.

  2. In fairness, the article mentions contract brewing, and I really haven’t seen too many big, contract-brewing oriented places in the southeast. It could fill a niche for sure, but one that’d probably serve more people if located in Georgia.
