Woman denied opportunity for homebrewing championship due to her gender

The home brewer, appropriately named Rachel Beer, tried entering her home brew called Beer’s Beer in Lake Hayes A and P Show but was told by the chief steward she could enter but it would not be judged. According to the Mountain Scene newspaper, the Queenstown woman said that there was therefore no point in entering the competition.

  1. why exactly could she “not win”? I agree with buckshot, need more info. and if it’s the “King of Beer” competition, then I can sorta see why they said it. not sure if it’s right though. I would say that, if a man can enter and have an equal shot in winning the Miss America pageant, then that ends the debate across the board for every event from BBQ Pit-master to Zealot of the Zucchini. until then, if gender is inferred in the title, then you need the respective equipment to participate.
