Fat Head’s Brewery expanding with production brewery

Currently a Cleveland brew pub and a Pittsburgh restaurant, Fat Head’s is expanding with a new production brewery in Middleburg Heights, just outside of Cleveland. A 25bbl BrauKon brewhouse has been purchased along with a 90bbl, four 80bbl, and three 30bbl fermenters. First year production is slated at 5,000bbls. The current facility will allow expansion to around 30,000bbls. Distribution will initially be throughout Ohio with intention to expand to the surrounding states. Construction is currently underway with completion expected in the spring of 2012.

Their award winning Head Hunter IPA, which won back-to-back GABF medals the last two years, BumbleBerry Honey Blueberry Ale, Starlight Helles Lager, and others will be offered year round.
