Flying Dog Disobedience Abbey Dubbel to become first bottled Brewhouse Rarities beer in April

Flying Dog Disobedience Abbey Dubbel

(Frederick, MD) – Flying Dog Brewery Brewmaster and COO, Matthew Brophy, revealed on The Brewing Network’s Sunday Session that Flying Dog Disobedience Abbey Dubbel is coming in April. Bottling will take place somewhere between March 22nd and 23rd.

Despite operating a fairly sizable brewhouse for craft brewery standards, the company is producing these 750s with a six-head bottle filler. Without force-carbonation capability, all 750s out of Flying Dog are bottle-conditioned so don’t expect these to head out the door right after being packaged.

More info on the beer below…

Commercial description: Disobedience is well deserving of the Hunter S. Thompson-coined moniker of “too weird to live, too rare to die.” An Abbey Dubbel brewed with Maryland maple syrup, Disobedience pours a rich ruby color as aromas of dark fruit and spice greet the nose. The first sip has notes of raisin and plum combined with bready maltiness and sugary sweetness. A good degree of carbonation invigorates the palate and leaves a crisp, clean finish.

Availability: April in DC, MD, VA
Formats: Draft and bottle-conditioned 750ml
ABV: 7.6%
