Kirin creates frozen foam machine for its beer in Japan (video)

 

 

It is called Ichiban Shibori Frozen Nama. It appears that they use a machine to add frozen beer bubbles on top of normal Kirin Ichiban beer. The bubbles are very cold: -5 degrees Celsius. They claim that the frozen layer can keep the beer below it cold for about half an hour. It is available in the Tokyo area as part of a trial run. Kirin plans to sell it across the country starting in May.
