Producers struggle to get beer shows on television
The "Brew Masters" failure will make it more difficult for television executives to greenlight another beer-focused program because networks keep an eye on each other and copy successful formulas, industry insiders said. That’s why there are multiple shows about pastries, tattoo parlors and storage lockers. It’s not that people aren’t trying to get a beer show on television. There’s no shortage of pitches, including one that pits brewers against each other a la "Iron Chef."

That’s BS! I believe it has to do more with sponsorship!
TV is dead anyway. I sure as hell don’t want to see another f-ing competition show with judges and people getting chopped or sent to the van or whatever because their imperial stout wasn’t stout-y enough. Beer is way too collaborative for that.
I was “meh” on the “brew master” concept, and am “meh” on the pastry, and tatoo shop thing too (they find interesting things in storage lockers). Give me a Top Gear styled beer show!
I think a beer show done right would go… it all depends on the format. The people, personalities and location will make it fly. Hopefully there will be a good one online soon.
