Genesee’s plans a go after planning commission overrides preservation board (video)

 

 

Moments after the city’s Preservation Board voted in favor of granting landmark status to the abandoned building at 13 Cataract St., the city’s Planning Commission voted to not grant landmark status. Richard Lozyniak, CEO of North American Breweries, said barring any more challenges, the Planning Commission’s vote greenlights the $2.6 million plan to demolish the building and renovate a similarly aged building nearby for a visitors center, a museum, a tasting room and a microbrewery.
