Goose Island aims to grow over 50% this year

The AB-InBev acquisition bears fruit…

Last year the founders of 312 and Honker’s Ale produced about 150,000 barrels and are planning on 230,000 this year. […] in their home market of Chicago, they grew 25%, and plan on it again for 2012.  Draft is now 46% of their sales. And they’re in the process of opening up nine states, from Virginia to Maine.

  1. It’d be nice if they could produce enough to supply their existing markets before they expand to new states….seems to be a trend these days.

  2. Makes you wonder why they are expanding to other states but where they distro now outside of the normal releases (honkers, 312, ipa etc) you cant seem to find there beer.

  4. IMO Goose Island lost a huge amount respect in the craft brewing community by selling out to InBev. What if every craft brewery did the same? Where would that lead this renaissance of ours? Right back to square one.
