Terrapin Beer Company doubling capacity for 2013
Some follow-up to news previously reported here on BeerPulse…
Terrapin’s current brewing set-up has a capacity of 18,500 barrels of beer a year — which translates into 36,000 kegs or 255,000 cases of beer — but the company breached that volume long ago. Now, in the lead up to its anniversary carnival on Saturday, construction crews are working non-stop to prepare and install eight 200-barrel fermenters and a new brewhouse, which requires widening a loading bay to fit what brewers call the Rolls Royce of brewing gear into the building, all to double the brewery’s production in the next year.
