Epic Brewing update: Glutenator and Brown Rice Ale

Epic Glutenator Gluten-Free Beer(Salt Lake City, UT) – The latest from Epic Brewing‘s newsletter…

EPIC’s Glutenator is back in the cold case! You won’t find any astringent sorghum in this beer. Instead, we use brown rice, sweet potatoes, millet and molasses along with plenty of American hops. This beer has a nice golden color, aromas of hops and sweet potatoes with a sweet grain flavor and a clean, sorghum-free finish.

EPIC’s Brown Rice Ale returned in May, but it was a little bit different than what fans of the usually light, nutty beer expect. Epic’s brewers decided to experiment with the kolsch yeast brought in especially for this summertime favorite and discovered that when fermented at higher temperatures, you get warm, fruity esters and a thicker, more caramel flavored beer. The next release of Brown Rice Ale, in June, will be the light, almost lager-like body and refreshing finish you expect from this unique offering.
