(Kernville, CA) – From the most recent Kern River Brewing newsletter…
—
We are almost 6 years old, but not quite yet. So to celebrate our not quite birthday, we have brewed up another batch of our 5th Anniversary Double IPA. We even bottled some of it so you can celebrate at home (but since it is our birthday and not yours, you can only have up to 6 bottles). You can even fill your growler with it (but only two growlers). You can even freeze it into blocks and skate on it, then melt it in the spring and drink it… Not a Beerfest fan, huh? Moving on…
Well, if that is not enough, we also have our XPA on tap. Amazingly drinkable at 4% abv and dry-hopped with Galaxy hops. And, there is some Class X on tap (at the time of this e-mail release anyways). That makes 7 amazing Kern River Beers on tap at one time. That is 6 plus 1 for good measure in case you were not paying attention.
We know everyone is excited to find out what we are going to do for our 6th birthday, but we are going to leave those details for another exciting installment of the brews news. What we can tell you is that we are going to make an Imperial Red Ale our 6th anniversary brew – some of you may have already tried our pilot batch; we are calling it Dirty Hippie after the abundance of Summit Hops (which smell like dirty hippies to some folks). Stay tuned for more detail on the brewing/bottling/consumption of this fantastic beer.
