Kickstarter success, Mystery Brewing, shares fundraising tips
I don’t think I was the first to try, but I’m pretty sure I was the first to get funded, the largest funded (so far), and I might be the first operational Kickstarter brewery. I make no promises that those claims are true, but I think they are. So, because of this success, I am asked often for advice by other budding entrepreneurs about how to start a brewery using Kickstarter. Let me give you this bullet list

Breweries: Mystery Brewing
I know they are not the only kickstarter brewery as one was just opened up nearby!
Broken Bottle Brewery was recently started in Rio Rancho, New Mexico using Kickstarter.com.
Opening day was April 20th, 2012. Having reached their kickstarter funding goal on Nov 25, 2011.
As of now they seem to only have a facebook page.

Kickstarter page is still up

Thanks for the helpful info, Bunch.
Not sure how successful it is. It just opened. I would like to see him succeed. But he was only successful in raising money (some of what he actually needed) via Kickstarter for his brewery. He still has some hurdles to jump and hoops to go through, but I’m wishing him the best. More breweries are always a good thing for us beer drinkers.
Just meant that he succeeded on Kickstarter. I’ll re-frame the headline.
