
Dad offers free beer for a year in exchange for apprenticeship for son
An 18-year-old Mackay man desperate to find work features in a classified advertisement offering his prospective employer a carton of beer a week for the next 12 months in exchange for an electrical apprenticeship. The advertisement, placed by the man’s father in his local Mackay paper last Saturday, reads: "Free Beer. 1 Year Supply. 50 cartons in exchange for 19yo Electrical Apprenticeship for my 19yo son."
