Mikkel on why he split up with Keller
Some may not realize that “Mikkeller” started as the combination of two old friends in Denmark, Mikkel Borg Bjergsø and Kristian Klarup Keller…
How has the company changed since you’ve gone solo?
The reason why we split up in 2007, he was pretty satisfied with just brewing five different beers, and I wanted to kind of wanted to explore beer a little bit more. I’m really curious about what you can do with beer. That’s why I do so many different beers. When he left, it kind of set me free to do what I wanted, and it kind of exploded from there.

Breweries: Mikkeller
Yawn. Over-hyped garbage beer for the ticking crowd.
Most of them are well executed, world class beers, with a brilliant business model. Haters gon hate.
I did not realize that about Mikkeller.
Their Sur Monk was pretty weird.
Most of his beers are junk. He has about 5 good ones. Don’t waste your money.
Good Beers, and Great innovation! I also enjoy the fact that he (they) are very “worldly.” My only gripe would be that they can be very pricey….
