Rock band beers take off in Sweden

motorhead beerWithin the past few weeks, a couple rock bands have announced releasing officially-branded beers under their own names.

A couple weeks ago Swedish band, Graveyard, made the following announcement on Facebook…

Today we are releasing our own beer ”Hisingen Brew” – made from special Cascade-hops that makes it taste even better lukewarm for your festival nights. It´s only available for now in Sweden (in an ”ölflak”) and you can order it straight away from Systembolaget here!

And this week from Loudwire

With possibly the most awesome label in the history of fermented beverages, Motorhead’s Bastards Lager has just been unleashed to the people of Sweden. Launched for the 2012 Sweden Rock Festival, the lager may see a broader release in the future, as the official Motorhead Drinks website reads, “at this moment only in the Swedish market.”

And now, we wait for Opeth.
