(Brooklyn, NY) – Back in October of last year, Brian Strumke of Stillwater Artisanal Ales shared a peculiar Facebook status update. A short message that read, “The Perfect Crime.” Both Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø of Evil Twin Brewing and Brian Ewing of Twelve Percent Imports “liked” the update. Months later, the three have announced a partnership under the same name.
Peter Myrup Olesen reported the full details on BeerTicker earlier today. Most interesting is Jarnit-Bjergsø’s plans to step up his presence in the U.S. beer scene, both as a brewer and possibly a New York publican.
Label approval came in last week for the first two beers to come from The Perfect Crime: an American Blonde Ale and a European Blonde Ale.
Strumke’s new Baltimore bar, of Love & Regret – Pub & Provisions, opened up on Wednesday with twenty craft taps. More than ten of the taps are Stillwater beers.
All three companies are part of an event called The Festival in late June.
