This spring, the Pennsylvania Beer Alliance, a group representing beer wholesalers, said privatization initiatives could pose a risk to the beer business in Pennsylvania and create an uneven playing field.

Family-run beer distributors would have a hard time competing against national and international companies such as Costco’s and Walmarts, they said.

  1. You poor goddam things. This is the most archaic goddam state in the country regarding beer. The 3 tier system in this state ****s it’s citizens six ways from Saturday. Family run distributors. Boo hoo. Other states make it by just fine. A few companies/distributors crying foul when every beer lover out there stands to benefit from the change.
