Did you know? In Wisconsin, small brewers only pay $1 tax per barrel
The state tracks these production figures to collect its beer tax, which stands at $2 per 31-gallon barrel, one of the lowest such rates in the nation and unchanged since 1969. Small breweries, with annual production of less than 300,000 barrels, can qualify for a $1 per barrel tax credit on the first 50,000 barrels brewed.

I’ll ‘see’ your $1/Bbl in Wisconsin and ‘raise’ you $0/Bbl in NY!
Gov Cuomo just signed legislation that eliminates our (also low @ $0.14cpg NY v $0.08 WI ) rate for craft brewers up to the first 200K Bbls!
The ‘door’ is open in/around NY’s #Adirondack Park where we’ve got trillions of gallons of pure soft water, EB-5 funding, intra-state stock offerings assistance and crowdsourcing help for brewers to locate/2nd site in a very special place w/90million people w/i a day’s drive and Montreal just a couple of hours up the road.

I knew I had read that fact before. Seems the article has been posted on two different sites (the article shares the same author). You referenced a different version yesterday: http://beerpulse.com/2012/07/wisconsin-beer-excise-tax-collection-drops-to-lowest-level-in-five-years/
