Stone Brewing Co-Founder and CEO, Greg Koch, on beer philosophy
An exploratory visit to Stone Brewing Co., and an in-depth interview with its CEO, co-founder & mastermind Greg Koch. We see the brewery in action and then sit down for a long talk with Greg in the Stone Brewery World Bistro and Gardens.
Only newsworthy piece that I gleaned is that he likes the idea of doing Saison du BUFF every couple years.

In other noteworthy news: Greg Koch is now living under a bridge, throw him a smoke if your pack came with an extra (all packs now come with an extra). Either that or he is displaying symptoms of his deal with the devil all those years ago. Did his girlfriend dump him? Or is he all gangsta now and don’t give a fffff! TAKE ME TO JAIL!!!
Mastermind?? Get off the guys dick. No wonder this guy thinks he can walk on water.
I’m always amazed at how many trolls pop up whenever Greg Koch is mentioned. Success breeds contempt…
“Success breeds contempt.” Very true.
@Tieman and Adam, that answer is taking the easy way out. Greg Koch has always been known as a pompous prick who isolates himself from the rest of the industry( go to any event and you’ll see what I mean). This has nothing to do with hating on his success. Just stop hanging on every word his douch says. His brewery was built on old money his daddy gave him. At least most of the domestic breweries he bashes were started from middle class working men, not a little baby with a silver spoon shoved up his ass.
Eh never met the guy, but regardless of whether I would like him in person or not I love Stone’s beer! Personally, he always seems pretty cool but who knows. Thanks for posting this!

I live in Southern California and have been to many Stone events over the past decade and have met, chatted, and hung out with Greg on several occasions and never would I describe him as pompous, etc. The man is enthusiastic about craft beer and it shows in everything he does. Regardless of which breweries you support, I think Greg and Stone have done a lot of good to advance the cause of craft beer in the US for everyone.
Personal attacks with nothing to back them just come across as petty.
