(Lucan, MN) – Brau Brothers Barrel Aged Belgian Style Quad will be released later this month. More from Friday’s newsletter below…
—
Aged for several months in Templeton’s used whiskey barrels, our Quad will soon be on store shelves! Brewed with traditional ingredients, we are excited to take a classic Belgian Ale and combine it with one of the hottest Rye Whiskey Producer’s used barrels.
In addition, we took pure beet sugar and rendered our very own dark candi sugar. Added to a pilsner malt grist bill, we are able to truly recreate a Belgian farm house ale. (If you’ve been to the brewery, you know what I mean)
Look for this ale in stores late August or early September. It will be extremely limited. A maximum of 500 cases will be produced.
Also, due to popular demand – and hot weather, we will continue to brew Hopsession Super Pale Ale throughout August. Without A/C, it’s single-handedly keeping us alive at the brewery. We’re hoping for a smooth transition in late September to Hundred Yard Dash. We’re at the mercy of the bines.
Last but not least, we have finally filled the brewer’s position! We are proud to introduce Molly Christopher as our Cellarwoman! She’s crazy motivated, will be a huge asset to our brewery as well as our hopyard and barley field, and Molly is one of Lucan’s genuine beer geeks. Southwest Minnesota’s first ever woman-brewer? That’s pretty cool in our book!
